Pakistan Cricket Board Invites Jay Shah to Pakistan to watch the opening Match of Asia Cup 2023

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) invites Jay Shah, President of ACC and Secrtory of BCCI, to watch the opening match of Asia Cup 2023 between Pakistan and Nepal on August 30 at Multan Cricket Stadium. The PCB also said that apart from Jay Shah, other board chiefs were invited to the opening match of the Asia Cup, which is part of the Asian Cricket Council.

The PCB Chairman Zaka Ashraf verbally invited Jay Shah to Pakistan when they both met in Durban for the ICC meeting, and the PCB followed up on the invitation and invited Jay Shah to the opening Match of the Asia Cup.

According to the Pakistan Media reports Jay Shah accepted the invitation of PCB but the BCCI secretary denied this invitation due to political issues. PCB says that the purpose of inviting Jay Shah was only to not mix cricket with politics.

Asia Cup 2023 will be played from August 30 to September 3 across venues in Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Pakistan will play India on September 02 at Kandy Cricket Stadium in Sri Lanka.
